Rev Victor Cyrus-Franklin

In Collaboration with Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century, the SPPRC did a second interview on Tuesday, July 23rd, with Min. Victor-Cyrus Franklin, Jr.

After examining his gifts, ministerial experience andprofessional accomplishments, discussing and praying together, the SPPRC voted unanimously to recommend to Pastor Sauls that we invite Min. Victor Cyrus-Franklin, Jr. joined the Pastoral Staff at Holman United Methodist Church as Assistant Pastor beginning August 1st .

Victor is married to Neema Cyrus-Franklin. They have been married for 9 years and are the proud parents of Victor Leon III (6 years old) and Nhani Simone (who turns turn 2 at the end of this month). Victor and Neema met as seminarians at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta and have lived in Atlanta for the last 10 years.  Victor is originally from Nashville and Neema grew up in Sacramento and Los Angeles. Victor’s mom is a United Methodist Pastor in Nashville, and Neema’s dad is a Presbyterian Pastor here in Los Angeles.

Advised church communications committee in cost-effective and creative uses of web media and social networking technologies. Led and trained worship committee in creating and planning intentional intergenerational and multicultural worship experiences. Supported Senior Pastor through preaching, teaching, pastoral care, visitation and leading weekly worship.

ASSISTANT CHAPLAIN Clark Atlanta University Office of Religious Life, Atlanta, GA. Responsible for  organizing University Worship and religious life activities in with the University Chaplain.
