Brief Description of Ministry / Committee / Board:
The Board of Trustees is responsible to oversee, maintain, and supervise all local Church property. It is required to report annually to the charge conference on the state of the church’s property and equipment. In conjunction with the pastor and church administrator, the Trustees are responsible for all use of the church buildings, grounds and parsonages. At least once a year, with the committee on pastor/staff Relations, the Trustee Board conducts an inspection and inventory of the parsonage (s). The Trustee Board inspects and inventories all equipment, and with the church administrator, sets up schedules for maintenance, painting service, etc. It also considers the merits of service contracts.
2011 Accomplishments (Activities, etc.):
The Trustee Board together with the facilities manager and church administrator maintained constant overview of the Holman Campus. Minor repairs and upkeep are done on a daily basis and emergencies, e.g. plumbing, heating and air conditioning, computer/internet crises as they occur.
A fund raiser was held in the fall which raised enough money to repair the roof over the restrooms and music studio in the sanctuary.
A successful Recycling Electronics event was held in November.
The parsonages are showing their age and need regular maintenance, plumbing issues, window replacement etc. As funds are available larger projects will be done.
- Top priority is replacing the grease trap in the kitchen
- Continued monitoring of all properties
- Replace carpeting in the music room
- Upgrade sanctuary restroom
