MINISTRY NAME: THURSDAY NOON BIBLE STUDY
Brief Description of Ministry / Committee / Board:
This ministry focuses on encouraging participants to make Bible study and prayer a priority in their daily lives.
Participants wrestle together with how to use the study of the Bible to understand current events and happenings in our world today; and how we become and make disciples for Jesus through the power that comes from the study of the Bible and praying for one another.
Major Activities / Responsibilities:
Reading, searching, exploring, discussing the Bible as we read through each book of the Bible—chapter by chapter, verse by verse, line by line, word by word. Once the group completes the entire Bible, we start all over again!
During the seasons of Advent and Lent we break to share the short-term studies for these seasons.
Praying for one another, our church, community, state, nation and the world is also an integral part of our time together. We take time out to share prayer concerns, light a candle and seek God’s guidance and grace for the world.
During the year we also invite guest speakers to come and share regarding various topics and current events related to the study of the Bible.
