We held three (3) Google Hangout sessions in May to engage  scriptures for Holman Camp 2016.  This is for all counselors and teachers to be better prepared for facilitating Bible Study and Worship at Holman Bible Camp 2016.  Listen/Watch below to recap!

2016 CAMP THEME:  NO FEAR: COURAGE IN CHRIST

CAMP SCRIPTURE: For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

CAMP DESCRIPTION:  Campers will examine the importance of having courage in Christ to develop trust with one another, to take action when they see or hear something wrong and to make a positive impact on the lives of others.   


Curriculum Scriptures

Monday:  Ruth: 1: 16-18 – NO FEAR TO GO INTO THE UNKNOWN

God did not give Ruth a spirit of fear when she decided to leave her home land and all that she knew to stay with her mother in law Naomi.  Naomi released Ruth from her obligations to stay with her but the power of love and devotion to shy with her and join another culture differ from her own and work to take care of her and her mother in law in a society in which men dominated society.

Tuesday:  Genesis 45:  1-15 – NO FEAR TO USE YOUR SOUND MIND AND SPECIAL GIFT

God did not give Joseph a spirit of fear despite his brothers plotting to kill him, throwing him in a dry well and then selling him to traders for 20 pieces of silver to be taken to Egypt.  Joseph realized that he was destined to go to Egypt before his brothers to forgive and save his brothers from the wrath of the pharaoh.

Wednesday:  Daniel 3:28 – NO FEAR TO EXHIBIT COURAGE TO STAND UP AGAIN THE KING AND FOLLOW GOD’S TEACHINGS

God did not give Daniel and his friends a spirit of fear but of courage to not eat the King’s food and stick  to the from from their custom which made them strong and health and give them freedom from being burned in the fiery furnace.
