Brief Description of Ministry/Committee/Board:
The Board of Trustees oversees, maintains, and supervises all local church property. It is required to report annually to the charge conference on the state of the church's property and equipment. In conjunction with the senior pastor and church administrator, the Trustees are responsible for all use of the church buildings, grounds and parsonages. At least once a year, with the committee of pastor/staff relation, the Trustee Board inspects the parsonages. The Board inventories all equipment with the church administrator, sets up schedules for maintenance, painting, services, etc. It also considers the merits of service contracts.
Major Activities/Responsibilities:
12 Street parsonage passed L.A. City Code Enforcement inspection. Installed 2 new 40 gallon hot water heaters at 12th street parsonage. Installed new laminate wood flooring at 12th street parsonage.
Chapel roof repaired.
Campus railing repaired.
Repaired rain gutters on breezeway.
3320 W. Adams buildings successfully passed fire inspection mandated by L.A. City Installed 2 new water fountains in Jim Lawson, Jr. Multipurpose completed. Installed new sanctuary screens.
Purchased and installed MCR DVD duplicating equipment for sanctuary.
Purchased and installed new fire sprinklers pipes in Jim Lawson, Jr. Multipurpose Building. Repaired rooms damaged from fire sprinklers leaks.
Installed new carpet/flooring in Crockett Library and L.L. White Hall. Trimmed palm trees on campus grounds.
