Hello Neighbor / Community Stake Holder
My name is Jayson A. Johnson, and I am the director of PICS (Partnership In Community Safety). PICS is a community outreach of the AAFFM African American Firefighter Museum and was created specifically to address the needs and concerns of our senior treasures in our community. AAFFM/PICS is hosting a community townhall meeting via Zoom on Sunday May 16, 2021 at 3:00 PM. “Coming out of quarantine” It is our hope that we offer a place of access for citizens who have questions, confusion or misinformation regarding safety guidelines, best practices and fear as our country comes out of quarantine.
While the AAFFM/PICS is excited to offer this platform, what will make it enormously successful is having subject matter experts to speak on the topic and offer factual and relatable information that our audience not only understands but can be empowered. We want to promote facts and reduce fear, we want to offer safety and remove confusion.
I am building our panel and would like to include you as a subject matter expert, community stake holder or as a co-sponsor / partner.
Subject Matter Expert: Doctor, nurse, frontline / first responder, LA County Dept of Aging, Mayors Office, CDC. The information that is shared needs to be factual and accurate. Policy and procedure of the agency you are representing.
Community Stake Holders: Urban League, Mothers in Action, Brotherhood Crusade, NAACP, Devine 9, Holman UMC are just a few of the organizations that have invested sweat equity we encourage your senior members participate and we would appreciate your endorsement.
Co-sponsor/Partner: Like our community stake holders, your name recognition and support add strength to increasing our target audience. Often with town hall type events there is a request for follow up and by having an established relationship we are able be more responsive and be better servants to our community.
There will be a disclaimer that the information shared is suggestions and the facts as we know them can be referenced, but we encourage people make decisions that are best for them and consult their Primary Medical Doctor. The AAFFM or any Co-Sponsor/Partner assumes no liability.
Due to the urgent need for this information to get out and safety reinforced, I am hoping to confirmation and contact details ASAP. Feel free to call or email me with any questions.
Thank you for your consideration
